David Young
"They should pray for and poor oil on the person in the name of the Lord and the prayer that is said with faith will make the sick person well...when a believing person prays, GREAT THINGS HAPPEN!" James 5:15-16
Hello,
This blog is being created to share with everyone the trials of which David Young is currently struggling. We are praying and believing in complete healing through Jesus Christ our Lord. Please as you read this let it be a reminder of David and the man he is and to pray for healing for him. The bible says "also I say to you if two or more on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my father is Heaven, this is true because if three people come together in my name I am there with them. " Matthew 18:19-20
David Alan Young currently lives in Coolidge Georgia with his wife Susie, and son Colby. He has two other sons, Jesse and Trent and three grand children.
In 2006 David was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, it is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed.
Before his diagnosis David was a very active man. He loved to ride his motorcycles and go on bike trips with Susie, work in his shop and yard, He enjoyed playing sports with his sons and was also a big help to his parents on their farm. You would rarely see David sitting still! He was always finding something to do.
This disease has changed everything for David and his family. He is now unable to walk and is in a wheel chair, he is beginning to lose strength in his upper extremities and breathing is becoming more difficult. We all know what the experts say about this disease and where it is leading, but David is not excepting that and is asking all his friends and family to stand with him in beliefe of the omnipotent God we serve and his ability to heal David of this.
The Bible also says "I tell you the truth, if your faith is as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move all things will be possible for you, that kind of spirit comes out only if you use prayer and fasting." Matthew 17:20-21
